Welcoming ballet’s youngest fans to American Ballet Theatre, ABTKids will return to the Metropolitan Opera House on Saturday, June 24 at 11:00 A.M. The family-friendly showing of selections from ABT’s illustrious repertoire will feature American Ballet Theatre’s accomplished dancers and is hosted by ABT Principal Dancer James Whiteside.  

Designed for children ages 4-12 and their families, the hour-long introduction to ballet will include excerpts from Swan Lake, Giselle, and Romeo and Juliet, as well as the solo Do You Care?, choreographed by ABT dancer Aleisha Walker, and a special performance of Vasily Vainonen’s Flames of Paris pas de deux by members of ABT Studio Company. Throughout the program, audience members will get behind-the-scenes insight from the performers and learn about the different elements of a ballet production. 
 

An ASL interpreter will be provided.
