NORA HIGHLAND begins streaming on https://www.revry.tv starting Friday, May 20th, 2022.

Adapted from the play of the same name, NORA HIGHLAND follows the casting process of a notable gay character in an upcoming Broadway revival and explores the phenomenon of straight performers being lauded for their work in queer roles.

The film is written and directed by Ryan Spahn.

The feature film of NORA HIGHLAND stars Marin Ireland, Michael Hsu Rosen, Mallory Portnoy, Eric Patrick Harper, Michael Urie, CARLEASE BURKE, Henry Jenkinson, and Marcus Crawford Guy. The film had its world premiere at NewFest: New York's LGBT Film Festival.

The play of NORA HIGHLAND had an original staged reading with Pride Plays at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre in New York. The reading starred Rebecca Henderson and Michael Hsu Rosen, and was directed by Danya Taymor.

NORA HIGHLAND was shot remotely during the height of the pandemic, following all Covid protocols. It was filmed entirely on Zoom. Not a single actor was in the same room; some not in the same country. Many had never met in real life.
