Poly Auction Hong Kong and Kids' Gallery Present 'young heARTS' Exhibition and Charity Auction

Poly Auction Hong Kong joins forces with Kids' Gallery, debuting the "young heARTS" programme to unify art, learning, exploration, appreciation, experience, exhibition, auction and charity elements into one through a unique perspective.

Participating students, including two fully funded students from charity partner Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired, created their masterpieces under the instruction of Kids' Gallery visual arts teachers over two months. Their works will be featured from 5 to 10 December at Poly Gallery Hong Kong. The charity auction will be held on 11 December, and all proceeds will be donated to the Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired.

With a mixture of indoor and outdoor learning, the "young heARTS" programme aims to nurture the new generation's art appreciation skills and creative talents. At the same time, the experience of being an auctioneer allows children to have a glimpse into the auction industry. The art appreciation workshops were presented by Poly Auction Hong Kong's Modern and Contemporary Art specialists, who also guided children and their parents in a tour of the "Behind Your Eyelid-Pipilotti Rist" solo exhibition at Tai Kwun. This immersive experience stimulated the participants' senses - their perception and sensitivity, judgement, sense of connotation and observation skills. The exhibition reinforced their sense of aesthetics and allowed the children to be inspired and utilise their innate creativity and imagination to create their works for the charity auction. The auctioneer workshop by Poly Auction Hong Kong's auctioneer Jenny Lok gives students a rare opportunity to work on their hammering skills for the charity auction.

In collaboration with Kids' Gallery, 30 paintings by Kids' Gallery and Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired students will be showcased in the "young heARTS" exhibition at Poly Gallery Hong Kong between 5 and 10 December (see appendix). Co-presented by Poly Auction Hong Kong auctioneer Jenny Lok and Kids' Gallery's children, their works will go under the hammer at the charity auction on 11 December, the guests of honour including former LegCo President Hon TSANG Yok-sing, Jasper, the Revd Canon Hon Peter Douglas KOON Ho-ming, LegCo Member Dr Hon HONG Wen, Wendy, Mr CHIU Man Leong, Alvin, of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, Dr YUK Tak Fun, Alice, CEO of Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired, Dr Henrietta Tsui-Leung, Co-Founder of Hong Kong Art Gallery Association and Dr Rocky Cheng, President of the Hong Kong Computer Society, will attend this meaningful charity event. All sale proceeds without cost deduction will be donated to the Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired, in support of its work.
