On January 28 and 29, TEATER SVATUHARI's original musical VIOLET: WARNA YANG BERBEDA will take to the stage at Ciputra Artpreneur, Jakarta. This musical, produced by Joseph Moris and directed by Rinaldy Zulkarnain, will also feature a cast consisting of both theater influencers and stage performers.

VIOLET takes place in Tanawarna, a country with four tribes living in harmony:

  • Wangsa Jambu (pink), wise advisors and governors.
  • Wangsa Merah (red), brave warriors and defenders.
  • Wangsa Kuning (yellow), cunning merchants and traders.
  • Wangsa Biru (blue), the artists, dancers, and cultural ambassadors.

The main character is Miranda (played by Zsazsa Utari), a young woman from Wangsa Merah who's in search of her true identity. As she navigates the differing ideas and personalities of the four tribes, she encounters hidden forces inside the country looking to break the delicate harmony. The cast also includes Claresta Taufan, Ravil Prasetya, Leyla Aderina, Dhea Seto, Rendhy Fabian, Alvin Lapian, Ihwan Zaid, Sabrina Athika, and more.

Additionally, VIOLET will incorporate the traditional fabric of East Nusa Tenggara province, also known as kain tenun ikat, into the costumes of the cast. Through both the story and production design, the production team wishes to highlight the importance of tolerance in Indonesia.

VIOLET has previously released a prologue video on their YouTube channel, as well as selected songs from the musical on streaming platforms. Tickets are available via the following link.
