Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra  Performs RESURRECTION at Teatro Colon Next Month

Charles Dutoit will conduct the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra in Symphony No. 2 in C minor, "Resurrección", by Gustav Mahler. It will be the tribute of the Teatro Colón to 40 years of the recovery of democracy in Argentina, in six concerts that will take place in the Rural, together with the soprano Jaquelina Livieri and the mezzo-soprano Guadalupe Barrientos; in a production with direction, set design, costumes and lighting by Romeo Castellucci, in co-production with the Aix-en-Provence Festival.

Performances run 7-12 March.
