Sunday was a very good day for Patti LuPone at the Laurence Olivier Awards in London. Not only did the recently closed West End revival of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's COMPANY win the award for Best Musical Revival, but the two-time Tony winner also picked up her third Olivier - this time for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical for playing Joanne in the gender-bent production of the iconic show.

While LuPone's fans around the world were certainly delighted by her latest award win, the Broadway legend also teased a potential return to the Great White Way while on the red carpet.

In an interview with Getty (at the 3:26 mark), LuPone said that she is supposed to go into rehearsals for the all-female revival of David Mamet's GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS beginning in August. While LuPone did leave the door slightly open that it might not all come together, this would be her fourth collaboration with Mamet on Broadway, following 1978's THE WATER ENGINE, 1997's THE OLD NEIGHBORHOOD, and 2012's THE ANARCHIST.

With the success of COMPANY in the West End, many have been clamoring for the production to transfer to the Main Stem. If LuPone does end up joining the Amy Morton-directed GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS revival in the fall, it would raise the question as to whether COMPANY would wait for her and then open in the spring, or if the production would proceed with someone other than LuPone playing the role.
