Nathan Lane stopped by THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING Jimmy Fallon to talk about his new Broadway play, Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus. Lane describes the play to Fallon, telling him, "What Taylor Mac has done is taken three minor characters from "Titus" and put them in their own show."

Lane continues, "It's the clown, the maid, and the midwife. And they're called Gary, Janice, and Carol. Gary and Janice are assigned the task of cleaning up all the dead bodies left over after the "Titus Andronicus" massacre in ancient Rome. So it's sort of "Game of Thrones" meets "Tidying Up with Marie Kondo."

The world premiere production of Pulitzer Prize finalist and MacArthur Fellow Taylor Mac's new comedy Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus plays at Broadway's Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street).

Starring three-time Tony Award winner Nathan Lane, Tony Award nominee Kristine Nielsen, and Tony Award winner Julie White, Gary is directed by five-time Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe. Featuring original music by Danny Elfman, and movement byBill Irwin, Gary is set just after the blood-soaked conclusion of William Shakespeare's first tragedy, Titus Andronicus.

In Gary, Taylor Mac's singular world view intersects with Shakespeare's first tragedy, Titus Andronicus. In Mac's extraordinary new play, set during the fall of the Roman Empire, the years of bloody battles are over. The civil war has ended. The country has been stolen by madmen, and there are casualties everywhere. And two very lowly servants - Lane and Nielsen- are charged with cleaning up the bodies. The year is 400 - but it feels like the end of the world.

The creative team includes four-time Tony Award winner Santo Loquasto (Scenic Design), Tony and Academy Award winner Ann Roth (Costume Design), and nine-time Tony Award winner Jules Fisher & three-time Tony Award winner Peggy Eisenhauer(Lighting Design).
