Jarrott Productions Announces Cast Of MOTHER OF THE MAID

Jarrott Productions is pleased to announce the cast of its next production, Jane Anderson's "Mother of the Maid." Directed by Clarissa Smith-Hernandez, the play stars Austin veteran actress Katherine Schroeder as Isabelle, the mother of the Maid; and features newcomer Anna Maria Ward as Joan, along with David R. Jarrott as Joan's father, Jacques, and Christopher Gonzalez as her brother, Pierre; rounding out the cast are Beau Paul as Father Gilbert, and Erin Scialabba as the Lady of the Court.

Playwright Anderson says her play is "really the journey of what one goes through as a mother when you have a child you can't understand, and then you realize that you have to allow this child to go out into the world and realize what they're meant to do." Though set in the 15th century, the dialogue is contemporary. New York Magazine called the play "Full of discovery. Powerful and stunning."

In addition to director Clarissa Smith-Hernandez, the creative team includes: Producer David R. Jarrott; Production Stage Manager Morgan Brochu; Scene Designer Michael Krauss; Lighting Designer Alison Lewis; Costume Designer Buffy Manners; Sound Designer Craig Brock; Technical Director Edward Kohler; Movement/Intimacy Director Charlesanne Rabensburg; Dramaturg Khristián Méndez Aguirre; Graphic Designer Carlo Lorenzo Garcia; Marketing Director Natalie Garcia; Box Office/House Manager Will Douglas; and assistant House Manager Laura DiCristofano.

"Mother of the Maid" plays March 26-April 12, 2020, at the Trinity Street Playhouse, located inside the First Baptist Church of Austin, at 901 Trinity Street. Tickets and more information available here: http://bit.ly/jpwebs); ticket prices range from $15-$30, with discounts for seniors, students, teachers/former teachers, as well as active and retired military. This project is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
