When you hear that a play stars Naseeruddin Shah, you already know that it must be a work of fine craft. But when you also get to the know, that the play is directed by Naseeruddin Shah himself, you are assured that this may be theatre show you won't want to miss.

Einstein by Naseeruddin Shah, seems to be a promising watch, not just for the master actor associated with it but also because of the extraordinary story it comes along with it. Written by Gabriel Emmanuel. The story of Einstein has made us all wonder in awe and has also continues to inspire millions across the globe. The writer Gabriel Emmanuel too felt intrigued by Einstein's story. The Canadian born writer is best known for his very famous play Einstein,

The play is a monologue where the scientist Einstein delivers his story in his own words to the audience. But what makes the play more relatable is the fact that the story is delivered in a very personal way. You can't be amongst the audience members and not be moved when the protagonist who portrays to be Einstein in the play begins retailing his own life story, complete with emotions and pathos. Einstein tells us how he was not a very bright child -- a story we have all heard and read but imagine the impact when you have Naseeruddin Shah as Einstein retelling you this. The fact that he looks like Einstein definitely makes it more engaging but then anyone who has watched Shah perform known the amount of personal energy and emotions he brings to a performance. So, in the play you would also see Shah as Einstein sharing with the audience his not very easy relationships with his wives. he also talks about aspects of his personal life such as faith and religious beliefs.

For the nerds, amongst the audiences, yes he covers Theory of Relativity too. The two act play is a never-told-before personal peep into the great artists life.

It is funny, it is enjoyable and it is engaging. Most of all it gives a human touch to the scientist and is a definite must watch.
