COVID19 Affects Musical Theatre in Austria

The World turned upside down!

"These are desperate times, Mrs. Lovett", to quote the Demon Barber, Mr. Todd. Indeed, Covid2019 stopped the world and changed our lives in so many ways. Our beloved theatres went dark but as there are no shows we could enjoy in the theatre, we can listen to all the wonderful cast recordings and watch all the Musical related movies we always wanted but never got the time to do.

We are facing tough situations but we are all in this together, it is not only Team Austria, Team Germany e.g. we are Team World, we are many and we can do a lot of good things. No matter how dark it might look, it's the music that lift us up, gives us hope and keeps us together even if we are apart.

Let's get together online, let's use social media to spread some love for our beloved genre, let's brighten the light with pictures, anecdotes, and other stuff from the Musical theatre. Even if the theatres went dark, let's illuminate them online. Everything is better with music. "... Desperate measures are called for", that's what Sweeney is thinking but we are not desperate, we are all in this together. Let the Musical theatre shine brighter than ever, share the love on social media and spend some hope, kindness, and happiness through the power of music.

The theatre is a special place where magic things do happen, were huge emotions are giving you chills. Before we all can get back to normal and back into our beloved theatre we have to deal with this new and never before seen situation. We are #teammusical we will get through this.
