STG Announces Inaugural Year Of THING Sold Out

THING, the new two-day multidisciplinary event presented by Seattle Theatre Group and Sasquatch! Festival Founder Adam Zacks, has sold out in its inaugural year. The debut of the event, which takes place this Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25 at Fort Worden in Port Townsend, WA, features a diverse lineup of artists from across the globe. With both days sold out, thousands of attendees will spend the weekend experiencing a unique combination of music, comedy, film, dance, podcasts, visual arts, and more.

The origin of the name "THING" comes from the medieval term "Ting" which is described as "an assembly of free people to reduce feuds and avoid social disorder," a definition which inspired the creation of this new venture. For more information about the event, including the full event schedule and detailed artist information, please visit thingnw.org.

Rounding out the concert events are Seattle blues- and punk-based band The Black Tones, psychedelic outlaw cowboy Orville Peck, and Northwest rock band Giants in the Trees featuring Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic.
