Party Face

Producers Robert Driemeyer, Morgan Sills and Jan Warner announced today that director Amanda Bearse ("Married...With Children") will join the cast of Party Face in the role of "Bernie" for the final week of performances, April 2- April 8, 2018. Original cast member Klea Blackhurst will play her final performance on April 1. Party Face, the new comedy by Isobel Mahon ("Glenroe," "Fair City"), began previews on Thursday, January 11, 2018, and opened on Monday, January 22. The final performance will take place on Sunday, April 8 at City Center Stage (ii) ( 131 West 55th Street).

Director Amanda Bearse said, "I guess you could say I'm crashing the party! I am both thrilled and terrified to step on stage for the last week of Party Face. Klea Blackhurst's characterization of 'Bernie' is party-perfect, but she will be off and running on a new project, leaving a window for me to re-join the fun. The joy of directing this production has been one of the highlights of my career. Who knew this play would offer me another off-Broadway debut, bringing me out of acting retirement to perform alongside these fabulous actresses?!? What an amazing way to end our run!"

Continuing on the remaining Thursdays in March, (3/15, 3/22, and 3/29)after the 2:30pm matinee performance, a series of talkbacks are held with members of the cast and creative team immediately post-show in the theatre.

Academy Award-winning actress Hayley Mills (The Parent Trap, Pollyanna) is joined by Klea Blackhurst (Goodspeed's Hello, Dolly!, The Nutty Professor), Gina Costigan (Mint Theater's The Suitcase Under the Bed), Brenda Meaney (Indian Ink), and Allison Jean White (Roundabout's Man and Boy).

You're invited to a party that's full of surprises. Careful plans are upended when a mother brings her own food to her daughter's party-and also the "right" person to be her daughter's new best friend. They put on their "party faces" and hope for the best--but when facades crack, secrets spill...and laughter roars as their revelry leads to revelations.

PARTY FACE features set design by Jeff Ridenour, lighting design by Joyce Liao, costume designs by Lara de Bruijn, sound design by Damien Figueras and casting by Pat McCorkle, CSA, McCorkle Casting, Ltd. Brierpatch Productions serves as general management.

Tickets range from $39 -$129 and are available at nycitycenter.org or by phone at 212-581-1212. The performance schedule is as follows: Mondays at 7:30pm, Thursdays at 2:30pm and 7:30pm, Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 2:30pm and 7:30pm; and Sundays at 3:00pm and 7:30pm.
