CVREP BEGINS TABLE READ AND REHEARSAL FOR "THE CITY OF CONVERSATION"

(February 24, 2020 - Cathedral City, CA)

Coachella Valley Repertory (CVRep) begins table read and rehearsal for THE CITY OF CONVERSATION, written by Anthony Giardina. Amid the fervor of the 2020 election year, this timely political dramedy is sure to strike a chord with any family who's ever discussed and disagreed on politics.

In 1979, Washington DC was a place where people actually talked to each other. Adversaries fought it out on the Senate floor, and then smoothed it out over drinks. This witty, literate and heartfelt play reveals just how profoundly opposing political beliefs can affect family relationships.

From 1979, the waning days of the Carter Presidency, to the night of Obama's inauguration,THE CITY OF CONVERSATION shows that all politics are personal. Smart and funny, THE CITY OF CONVERSATION displays the rise of polarizing politics through family matriarch Hester Ferris' lens.
