LOS NAVEGANTES is playing at Teatro de la Estacion in Panama on February 18th and 19th, 2019.
The Verses of the Alakrán is a recital of poetry in Castilian language (Rubén Darío, Machado, Alberti, Lorca, García Calvo, Octavio Paz, Gabriela Mistral ...) The rapporteur is not a reciter to use, nor a speaker. It is, neither more nor less ... The Mushrooms! A, how to say, outdated guitarist and singer of ... The Alakranes! One, how to say it, old and outdated heavy metal band.
El Setas, trying to help his nephew to take his studies, discovered poetry and fell in love with those series of words with rhymes, rhythms, peculiar accentuation and suggestive metaphors. His imagination was exalted, he dusted off his old guitar and explained it to him as he knew best: singing and playing. In the show you can listen to the most beautiful verses with rhythms of reggae, rock, ská, son cubano ... with a slightly cracked, passionate and exultant voice of ... El Setas!
